The DP2DVI2 DisplayPort® to DVI Video Adapter Converter lets you connect a DVI monitor to DisplayPort-enabled desktop or laptop computers.
Supporting display resolutions of up to 1920×1200 allowing you to take full advantage of single link DVI capability. DP2DVI2 is a passive adapter that requires a DP++ port (DisplayPort++), meaning that DVI and HDMI signals can also be passed through the port.

This adapter works perfectly with my setup. I needed to connect my laptop to an older DVI monitor, and the DP2DVI2 handled it flawlessly. The latching DP connector is a nice touch that keeps everything secure. DisplayPort compatibility is solid, and I’m getting crisp 1080p output without any issues. Great adapter that does exactly what it promises. Supports up to 1920×1200 resolution and works reliably with my desktop computer. The only minor thing is that it sticks out a bit from the port, which could be tight if you have bulky cables nearby. Otherwise, solid build quality and dependable performance. The 3-year warranty is also appreciated for peace of mind.

Solved my compatibility problem between my new laptop and old monitor setup. The DP to DVI conversion is seamless, and I’m getting excellent picture quality at 1080p. Installation was straightforward. One small observation: it would have been nice if the connector had a slightly lower profile for tight desk spaces, but it’s not a deal breaker. Works as advertised and worth the investment.
